Tour a U.S. Marine Corps Air Station
Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, California
Tour World-famous Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar and you're sure to have a top-flight experience! As the Marine Corp's premier master jet air station, MCAS Miramar is home to the world’s best fighter pilots. Air station tours allow your group to see where these defenders of freedom work and train.
MCAS Miramar is home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing of the United States Marine Corps, known as “America’s 9-1-1 Force.” Miramar’s aircraft and aviators were called most recently to duty in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, successfully performing a wide variety of combat and support missions in F/A-18 Hornet fighter attack jets, CH-46 Sea Knight and CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters and the KC-130 Hercules transport and aerial refueling aircraft.
You can view all these combat-tested aircraft as part of your tour of the flight line.
If you're ready for take-off, step onto the flight line. Active duty Marines from the Public Affairs Office will introduce you to Marine Corps aviators and support personnel.
Tour groups can boost their visit experience with world-class catering. The MCAS Miramar Semper Fi Special Events joins efforts with the Public Affairs Office for the Community Liaison Events program, which offers a variety of unique and exciting settings including the world-famous Miramar Officers' Club (where scenes from the movie "Top Gun" were filmed), the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum and actual aircraft hangars (depending
on group size and availability) located directly on the flight line. The professional Semper Fi Special Events Team can cater to your every need and features the culinary delights of our award-winning four-star civilian executive chef.
