They will provide resources such as self-assessments, websites, and tools to help you make the best decisions to achieve your goals. They also have points of contact with school representatives across the country. The Education Center offers walk-in and scheduled appointments to all active duty, veterans, reservists, and family members.

• Financial Aid - every third Tuesday of each month @ 1130
All of these periods of instruction take place in classroom #4 of BLDG 5305 with the exception of the Financial Aid brief which will take place in the Education Office conference room (RM 125).

> WE'RE NOW PROCESSING TUITION ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS: The Education Center will now process tuition assistance applications for Marines. Please reference this [ Marine Administrative Message ] for details. You are also welcome to direct any inquiries to the Education Center at 577-1801.
> EDUCATION FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION In place of the Wednesday College 101 Tuition Assistance Brief, the Education Center will now offer a Financial Aid Information Brief from 1130-1230. The brief will cover alternate ways to fund voluntary education while TA is suspended. The College 101 Tuition Assistance Brief will now only be held on Fridays from 1130-1230. Since College 101 is a mandatory prerequisite to use tuition assistance, we will continue to provide the brief so Marines may be prepared and eligible to use tuition assistance when the suspension is lifted. Military Academic Skills Program (MASP) |
|
(MASP) is a skills enhancing program that focuses on English, Math, and Communication skills. This program can be used to help with tests such as TABE, AFCT/ASVAB, SAT, ACT, and preparing for college. This is not an ASVAB/ AFCT prep course. San Diego Community College District provides this course at no cost to attendees.

Central Texas College

2-year Texas Public School offering various Associate Degrees. CTC offers courses via classroom, Internet, and CD ROM. CTC also provides CD and other courses to deployed units.
San Diego Miramar College

2-year California Public School offering Associate Degrees and Certificate Programs. Classes are offered in class and online. Affordable in-state fees are charged to military and spouses stationed in CA.
National University

4-year Private (non-profit) university offering Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees. Coursework can be done online, or at various locations throughout San Diego area. NU provides upper division (3rd and 4th year level) courses in class on MCAS Miramar.
Visiting Schools – Educational Institutions are no longer having visiting hours aboard MCAS Miramar. If you would like to speak to a specific institution regarding enrollment or you are a current student and need to contact a representative, please contact the Education Center at (858) 577-1801 to set up an appointment.
In addition to Tuition Assistance, there are many opportunities to fund your education to include Grants, Scholarships, Loans, and other programs. The Education Office provides monthly workshops, counseling, and resources.

Classroom/ Miramar Room Reservations |

All classroom and Miramar Room requests must be submitted to the Education Office. Classrooms are authorized on a space available basis. Please call (858) 577-1801, or email us for reservations. Please provide a good point of contact in order to receive an email notification to confirm your scheduled classroom.
