> OPERATION GAME ON MCAS Miramar Memorial Golf Course is now proud to offer discounted rounds of golf to Wounded Warriors. Operation Game On now allows Wounded Warriors to play for $8.00 to walk and $15.00 with cart. Call 858-577-4155 for details.
FIVESOME PLAY ON WEEKENDS
In an effort to enhance the pace of play conditions during our busiest days and to enhance our customers' overall golf experience, 5-somes will no longer be allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays effective Saturday, 29 OCT, 2011. Download memo [ here ].

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING TEE TIME RESERVATIONS

The MCAS Miramar Golf Course is so highly recommended that it served as the home of the annual Armed Forces Golf Tournament and ranked among the top eight military golf courses in the U.S. by Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine. Rental clubs and electric or pull carts are available, as are trained staff to lend instructional advice. The Golf Pro Shop, located on site, offers equipment and golf attire at reasonable prices. Putting greens and a driving range are open every day.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING STATION ACCESS FOR CIVILIAN GOLFERS
To our valued guests: In an effort to ensure that we support the MCAS Miramar’s mission of security, all guest walk-on play must call the golf shop prior to coming to the course at 858-577-4155 and give the names of all players planning to come play. At that time, your name(s) will be forwarded to the PMO staff at the East Gate to ensure authorization to enter the station. Access will not be granted if this procedure is not followed. We thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of everyone aboard MCAS Miramar. Thank you, Golf Course / MCCS Management.

GOLF COURSE FIRT TEE > THE FIRST TEE LEVEL 1 is beginning it's next session at Miramar Memorial Golf Course very soon, and we would love to have your participation. For details regarding scheduling, parents are encouraged to call Cindy Kelliher, PGA / LPGA at 858-336-3565 for more information.

> THE MIRAMAR MEMORIAL WOMEN'S GOLF CLUB was founded in 1965 and to this day is still an active organization. Just recently, the club voted to accept civilian women to join our group. We play every Tuesday starting at 7:30 AM. If you are non-military, proof of car insurance, ID and car registration must be shown at the gate. As a regular member, you will have guaranteed tee times, weekly sweeps, and tournaments to enter. We have several luncheons during the year. Dues are $75. If you don’t have a handicap, no worry, after 5 games,
you will be given a temporary handicap. We’d love to have you. If you’re interested, contact our president,

Miramar Active Duty Golf Program

Attention Active Duty Marines and Sailors stationed at MCAS Miramar There are 3 golf programs that were created just for you.

1). Quality of Life Golf: Every Tuesday of the year, 2 hours after twilight starts free golf.
That’s right, $0.00 greens fees.

2). Dollar Day: Every third Wednesday of the month all year long,
golf any time of the day for just a $1.00 greens fee.

3). Free Active Duty (MIRAMAR ONLY) Golf Clinic:
Every Wednesday, 1130-1300 on the Driving Range. Call 577-4156.

Remember, only active duty Marines and Sailors stationed at MCAS Miramar can take
advantage of these programs, so come on down, have some fun and save some money.

FITTINGS
We Offer PING Fittings! Stop by the Golf Course on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a free fitting for PING Golf Clubs. See how much the right clubs can improve your game!

FREE club fitting is available by appointment using the PING and TITLEIST systems for irons, woods, and hybrids, and Yes! Putters. Call 858-577-4156 to speak directly with our PGA fitting professional.

Miramar Golf Course in Top 10

MCAS Miramar has an outstanding golf course. The course is well-maintained and the greens are considered some of the finest in the area. Miramar Memorial was chosen as the site for the prestigious 2001 Armed Forces Golf Tournament. The ninth hole, a par five measuring 640 yards from the blue tees, is the longest par five in Southern California.

The practice facilities include a large putting green, chipping green, practice sand bunker and pitching area. The 30-stall grass driving range is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to dusk, and on Monday from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. PGA golf professionals are on hand to fine-tune your playing skills, and a well-stocked pro shop is ready
to take care of your golfing needs. Rental clubs, pull carts and electric carts are available for your convenience. Need more information?
