GROUP SWIM LESSONS Semper Fit Aquatics is proud to provide our group swim lessons program to all authorized MCCS patrons. Group swim lessons are taught by our certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors, and all swim lessons follow the American Red Cross teaching guidelines. Session & Registration Dates
Cost: $50.00 per student, per session. Sessions run Monday -Thursday, for two weeks. PRE-SCHOOL AQUATICS LEVELS 1-3 Children 3-5 years of age may participate in our Pre-School Aquatics program. Each class may have up to six (6) participants. Pre-School Aquatics classes are offered in the morning, and are conducted at the All Hands’ Pool, Bldg. 4551.
LEARN-TO-SWIM AQUATICS LEVELS 1-3 Children 5 years of age and older may participate in our Learn-to-Swim program. Levels 1-3 may have up to eight (8) participants in each class. These levels are offered in both the morning and afternoon. Morning classes are conducted at the All Hands Pool (Bldg. 4551). Afternoon classes are conducted at the 50-Meter Pool, Bldg.2000.
PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS Semper Fit Aquatics is proud to present our private swim lesson program to all authorized MCCS patrons. Private swim lessons are taught one on one by our certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Participants may enroll in one set of lessons at a time. Our private swim lesson program is designed for children, who are at least three (3) years of age, and adults of all ages. Registration • Complete a "Private Swim Lesson Request" form. These forms are available at the 50-Meter Pool (Bldg. 2000). • Turn in the "Private Swim Lesson Request" form to the 50-Meter Pool (Bldg. 2000). Important Information: Private swim lessons are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. When turning in a private swim lesson request, please keep in mind that it is only a request. The swim lesson coordinator will call to confirm and/or schedule lessons with you as soon as possible. Course Fees: • Private Swim Lessons (1 student): $80.00 for 4 x 30-minute lessons • Semi-Private Swim Lessons (2 students): $150.00 for 4 x 30-minute lessons • Group Private Swim Lessons (3 students): $210.00 for 4 x 30-minute lessons Swim Lesson Cancellation & Refund Policies GROUP SWIM LESSONS Cancellations • No make-up lessons will be given for the group swim lesson program. In the event your child is sick and/or cannot make a lesson due to a schedule conflict, please contact the aquatics manager at (858) 577-4140. • In the event of a pool closure or inclement weather, a safety day will be conducted in the 50-Meter Pool's Classroom, located in Building 2000. Refunds • Refunds will not be issued with the exception of PCS Moves or documented medical reasons. • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing, along with supporting documentation, to the aquatics manager. • Refunds will be prorated based on the date the written request and documentation are received. PRIVATE SWIM LESSON Cancellations • At least 24-hour notice is required to cancel and reschedule a private swim lesson. Please call the aquatics manager at (858) 577-4140 to cancel the lesson. If the manager is unavailable, please leave a message. • No make-up lessons will be scheduled for any private lesson cancelled within 24-hours of the scheduled time Refunds • Refunds will not be issued with the exception of PCS Moves, or documented medical reasons. • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing, along with supporting documentation, to the aquatics manager. • Refunds will be prorated based on the date the written request and documentation are received. YOUTH WATER POLO CLUB Semper Fit Aquatics is proud to present the Youth Water Polo Club to all authorized MCCS patrons! This exciting program is designed to familiarize youth with the challenging sport called Water Polo. The Youth Water Polo program will focus on developing the basic fundamentals and knowledge needed to participate in the sport. Most of all youth will get a great workout while having loads of fun! Participants must be able to demonstrate the following skills on the first day of class: • Demonstrate front crawl continuously for 50-meters. • Demonstrate back crawl continuously for 50-meters. • Tread water for five minutes. Days, Times & Location: The Youth Water Polo Club will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at the 50-Meter Pool, Bldg. 2000. Cost: $60.00 per student, per month. Youth Water Polo Club Cancellation & Refund Policy: No make-up lessons will be given for the Youth Water Polo Club. JUNIOR LIFEGUARD PROGRAM We are proud to present the MCCS Miramar Junior Lifeguard program, based on the American Red Cross GuardStart: Lifeguarding Tomorrow program. This program is designed for youth, between the ages of 11-14, who are interested in becoming an American Red Cross Lifeguard. In this course, participants will learn leadership skills, aquatic safety, fitness and training skills, and the basic skills/fundamentals needed to attend the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program. Please note this is not a certification course. All MCCS Miramar Junior Lifeguards are eligible to participate in the MCCS Miramar Lifeguard Games. Try-outs will be held on the first Friday of each month: Days, Times & Location: Junior Lifeguards will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1100-1200, at the 50-Meter Pool (Bldg 2000) Cost: $50.00 per student, per month. Junior Lifeguard Refund Policy: Refunds will not be issued with the exception of PCS moves or documented medical reasons.
