New to San Diego?


	The Relocation Assistance Office is here to serve you when you first arrive at MCAS Miramar as well as when you depart for your new duty station. The office is located in the Joint Reception Center, Bldg. 2258 (on Mitscher Way near the North Gate). Be sure to pick up a "Welcome Aboard Package" when you arrive at Miramar and check out some of the other services which this office provides below.

LENDING LOCKER
The Relocation Office has a lending locker for you to use when you first arrive and are awaiting your household goods. It includes futons, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, chairs, TVs, small appliances and other kitchen utensils. Call for availability. A copy of your orders and ID are required for borrowing the items.

SITES
When you need information on your next duty station come to the Relocation Office and pick up a SITES booklet. You may also find any military installation yourself by logging on to www.militaryhomefront.dod.mil. Choose "select installation" at the top of the page after you log in.

INDIVIDUAL RELOCATION PLAN

PCS MOVE CLASS
A PCS class is offered to assist you as you depart. The class provides information on moving your personal property, financial entitlements, passports and relocation support services.

STREETS AND TRIPS
This CD-ROM program can map out your cross-country driving directions as well as other useful information.

SPONSORSHIP CLASS
If you will be sponsoring someone new to the station you can sign up for this class for some helpful tips.

WELCOME ABOARD PACKAGE
Upon receiving your orders the Relocation Office can mail you a Welcome Aboard Package as well as request a sponsor from the command for you. Call DSN 267-1428 or Comm. (858) 577-1428.
