Transition Readiness Program

The Transition Readiness Program is a Council on Accreditation (COA) certified workplace that offers information and assistance to aid military service members, retirees, veterans, DOD civilian employees and their family members both as they transition from a military to civilian lifestyle and beyond. We have on staff Certified Professional Career Coaches (CPCC). Seminars and workshops facilitated by our Transition Program team include the Transition Readiness Seminar, the Personal Readiness Seminar, STAND (Successful Transition after Non-honorable Discharge, LinkedIn Success, Women In Transition, Accessing Higher Education and more. This signature 5-day course is mandatory for active duty members separating or retiring from military service. Topics include VA Benefits, Military Skills Translation, Department of Labor led employment curriculum and Financial Planning. Listed below are links to the TRS PREWORK & FORMS required for TRS attendance. Please bring all of the items listed under TRS PREWORK & FORMS to class with you. To register to attend TRS, please contact your Unit Transition Counselor or Career Planner for reservation instructions.



This 4 hour course is mandatory for services members assigned to their 1st permanent duty stations. The course offers 3 hours of financial planning strategies and an introduction to Personal and Professional Development services to assist with career guidance whether making active duty service a career to retire from or a stepping stone to a brighter future. Participants required to attend will be notified and registered through their Career Planners.
STAND is focused on providing information concerning benefits and opportunities for military members leaving active duty service with any discharge designation less than honorable. Topics include available resources and benefits, discharge upgrade process and employment preparation.
This course is geared to assisting job seekers in using LinkedIn for job search and networking opportunities. Participants will learn how to build their professional online-profile, research companies/careers and expand their professional networks. No previous LinkedIn experience needed.
The Accessing Higher Education course is a 2-day, hands-on course designed to guide you through the variety of decisions involved in choosing a degree program, finding the right college, exploring funding sources and completing the application process.
